For some time I work in private and Cagliari Carbonia as Psychologist and Psychotherapist cognitive behavioral (for anyone interested in an initial interview free psychological counseling, my mail is salvatore.barraco71 @ gmail.com).
I have achieved the specialization in cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy at the Institute Tolman Palermo and Nuoro ( http://www.istitutotolman.it/ ). I carried out several activities related to psychosocial intervention and psychological support, sometimes at the character of internship or training, or working on projects with functions as a psychologist or trainer. One of the areas most compelling was that of training, where I could benefit from the skills learned and conoscenzee between 2001 and 2002 at the International Course for Advanced Studies in Science of Organization, organized by ' Ailun Nuoro ( www.scienzesociali.ailun.it/alumni/so/2001/barraco.shtml or www.scienzesociali.ailun.it/ ). On that occasion I spent exactly one year after graduating in Psychology in Rome, deepening an intensive knowledge of experimental psychology, economics, sociology and classical logic, developing the learning of a multidisciplinary approach be spent not only in 'within organizations, but also in other fields of interest. This is possible thanks to teaching methods provided and used during this course, as innovative than normal fees and Italian university based on the principle of co-learnig, also was an experience of extraordinary cultural richness, since more than half the faculty came from the most famous universities U.S..
I recently acquired (from about four years) clinical experience and psychotherapy at the Center for Psychosocial ASL 7 Iglesias (Hospital Crobu). In this center, I had a particular way and to follow up cases of psychogenic eating disorders (bulimia, anorexia, binge eating), panic disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, parenting support issues for children of anxiety or related to hyperactivity, having good feedback terrmini results. For about three years I worked and supported the activities and psycho-educational counseling at the association's ASP Carbonia, assistance for mental suffering and their families. This experience was borne from having carried out 200 hours of training specialization in the psychiatric service for diagnosis and treatment of Carbonia Hospital Sirai.
I am currently working in private placing special emphasis to:
anxiety disorders (panic disorder with agoraphobia, social phobia and shyness);
- obsessive compulsive disorder (in its various forms);
- disorders feeding behavior (bulimia, anorexia, nutrition incoltrollata, obesity);
- hyperactivity and attention deficit (including support for parents);
- depression and mood disorders.
